Loving Kindness

At first I had a hard time getting the Loving Kindness mp3 in doc sharing to download to listen to it.  I finally got it though.   The first time that I listened to it I had a hard time focusing, I think that the waves and flue where nice to listen to the pause was too long and my mind seemed to wander.  I tried it again and I managed to focus a little better.  It has been hard to quite my mind and focus since I have been busy packing, getting ready for friends daughters baby shower, etc.  When the part came up about enemies I don’t really have them, but I thought of what kind of people can make me mad like politicians, I felt better after doing the exercise.

The concept of mental workout I imagine is doing exercises to strengthen your mind.  Like the exercise of Loving Kindness we just done.  It is trying to get us to get rid of our self-centered and quiet our mind so we can be creating a loving kindness towards others.

Reflection on my own personal physical, spiritual, and psychological wellness

Hello Everyone

I would have to say that on a scale of 1 to 10 that I am probably a 2 on the scale.  I don’t feel that great about myself.  I am extremely overweight by 100 lbs. and very out of shape.  I know what I need to do it is just getting motivated to do it.  My spiritual wellbeing I rate as an 8 from where I was last year about a 6, it has improved.  I started a part-time job at a church nursery a couple years ago and in this last year I started listening to KLove while I was driving to work, I had a 30 min drive.  It relaxes me and makes me feel happy.  I started praying and giving all my worries to God and say here they are I trust you to take care of them.  My psychological well-being is around a 6.  I am not as stressed as I once was last year.  I don’t worry about bills and rent anymore.  I know that everything will work out.  I do get stressed about school though.  I need to learn to stop procrastinating till the last minute.  I also am kind of stressed about moving.  I hate to pack and that stresses me out.  I am moving at the end of the month in with my mom.  I don’t have my own computer so I use my moms. My son, mom and I share the computer so kind of hard to get on computer sometimes.  I’ll be getting my son a computer with the federal income tax this year.

My goal for myself would be to start eating healthy and start an exercise routine possibly walking to start.  I plan on planting a raised bed organic garden in a few weeks to grow my own vegetables since they are so expensive at the store.  My goal for spirituality would be to start going to church and a closer relationship with God.  Psychological goal is to implement the relaxation exercises to relax my body and mind.  Maybe start yoga.

The relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century didn’t work that great this week.  I started to relax when my kitten kept bugging me and then I paused for a minute with him.  Then couldn’t get back to complete relaxation after that, plus my lower back has been hurting lately and has been a nagging pain for the past couple of days.  I took Ibuprofen but don’t seem to work I have a muscle relaxer but don’t like to take it because it makes me too relaxed to wear I can’t drive or anything.

Her is a song that I was listening  in the car this morning I wanted to share.

Journey on Relaxation

Hi Everyone,

I am not used to blogging, actually the only blog that I ever visited was Pioneer Women and that was to get a recipe.  I watch the Pioneer Woman on Food Network TV.  I done the Journey On relaxation exercise, I really haven't tried any relaxation exercises before.  After getting used to the bells and listening to his voice I started to relax.  I actually became very relaxed and almost fell asleep, afterwords I felt relaxed and more energized.  That is good since I have another classes homework to get done within the hour.

My first blog.  I had a hard time coming up with a name for my blog.  I fianally came up with my two things that I can not go without each day, Gods inspirational word through music and coffee.  I listen to KLove everyday while I"m traveling in my car.  One of my favorite songs is:  He Said by
Group 1 Crew. Here is a link to the video on YouTube of "He Said".
